- The Buckstrap is constructed of 1/2 in. (13mm) Samson 24 strand Blue Streak rope adjustable 4-7 ft. with 2 steel snap hooks
- Designed originally for linesmen scaling telephone poles the Buckstrap required very little adjustment although used frequently by tree care workers the Buckstrap provides limited range on dramatically tapering trees
- Another limitation of this lanyard is that the Prusik hitch (adjusting mechanism) will sometimes be located in a difficult-to-reach location on the opposite side of the tree because of the way the system is adjusted
- If you like or are used to this type of lanyard, consider a Prusik-adjusting lanyard that keeps the Prusik on your hip
