The 295-piece carbon steel external retaining ring assortment with black phosphate finish includes external retaining rings in various sizes and comes in a compartmented plastic case for storage and organization. Also called snap rings, they are designed to retain pulleys, gears, or wheels on shafts. The rings are made from carbon steel, which offers flexibility and a balance of strength and toughness.
